2023 WREATH SALE INFORMATION FOR SCOUTS
Begins on Wednesday, October 18th and ends Sunday, November 19th.

THE WREATH SALE IS ONE OF THREE FUND RAISING EVENTS HELD YEARLY BY BRYN ATHYN BOY SCOUT TROOP 97.  ALL MONIES BENEFIT THE TROOP AND ALLOW US TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE A GREAT SCOUTING EXPERIENCE FOR YOU.

THIS YEAR THE SALE IS FROM KICK-OFF, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18TH AND CONCLUDES ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19th.

·        Wear your uniform when selling wreaths.

·        Always identify yourself by name and the troop number (Troop 97)

·        Complete the Wreath Sales Order Form (first and last names, address, phone numbers). There are many Bryn Athyn families with the same name, it can get very confusing. 

·        It is suggested to take selling documents on a clipboard and have a pen ready to take down orders.

·        Each scout is asked to sell a minimum of 15 items (wreaths and swags), With an extra bonus for Scouts who sell 25 or more. Bonus will be dependent on the number of Scouts who qualify.

All delivery orders must be paid at time of order.  

We accept cash or checks made out to "Bryn Athyn Troop 97".  Write the total amount paid on the order form under "Amount Paid".  Leave blank if not paid.

All wreath orders not set for delivery must be picked up by your customers at the Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 2nd between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM at the Bryn Athyn Society Building.  Be sure to invite your customer to attend the Pancake Breakfast and Tree Sale.  You will be provided with preprinted postcards to hand out.

Keep in mind that you will be responsible for delivering all unpicked-up orders on Saturday, December 2nd after the Pancake Breakfast.  Parents need to be prepared to assist their son with this effort.  Each Scout will be given an updated listing of his deliveries at the conclusion of the Pancake Breakfast. If you cannot deliver your order on December 2nd, please let your customers know ahead of time when you will be delivering them. All orders must be no later than Sunday, December 3rd at 5:30 pm.

Be careful to keep track of all cash and checks.  You are responsible for ensuring that your orders and payments reconcile.

Each Scout is to enter their orders into the 2023 Customer Order Form - Boy Scout Troop 97 (https://forms.gle/eoXBpBhsbt4eX5qQ8). Because some of the scouts do not have access to Excel, we have changed the form to be a Google doc. Your orders must be entered on or prior to Sunday, November 19 at 5 pm. The orders will be accumulated onto a Master List, and a spreadsheet with your totals will be emailed to you no later than November 26th, with the amount that you owe. 

Prizes
There will be prizes awarded to the patrol with the highest average sales, per scout within the patrol.

IMPORTANT

The wreath sale ends on Sunday, November 19, 2023.  

All payments will be collected on Monday, November 27th or Tuesday, November 28th between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Scout Building. Please make sure to double check your item amounts and total amount owed vs. the amount that you’ve collected prior to coming to drop-off your money.

No Territories will be assigned or monitored for the sale, but please be aware of Scouts that have had customers for multiple years, and Scouts that live on a street that you’re thinking of selling on.
